SWOOHA 30th Anniversary

SATURDAY, MARCH 3, 2007

WESTERN FAIR SPORTS COMPLEX

	WHAT -- The Southwestern Ontario Oldtimers Hockey Association is celebrating its 30th anniversary and you are invited to join the festivities. There will be a special game involving players from the 1970s era when SWOOHA first began. It's part of the London Sports Council's annual "Hockey Day in London" which is a fundraiser for Kids Sport and other Sports Council projects. Our game is the first of seven during the day including a London Nationals playoff and the first game of the high school finals.
	WHEN -- Saturday, March 3, 2007.
	WHERE -- Western Fair Sports Centre, London (Florence St. across from the Raceway and Slots).
	TIME -- Game time is 10 a.m. Players should be at the rink at 9 a.m. Bring your own socks.
	COST -- All players, coaches, trainers and referees will pay $20 (in dressing room). Proceeds go to Kids Sport which is a program to provide equipment and coaching for underpriviledged children. Check in at the front table upon arrival. Admission for non-players is $5.
	FORMAT -- LONDON OLDTIMERS ALUMNI vs. SWOOHA SELECTS. Don Mahood and Julian Smith are organizing a London team from the late '70s and early '80s. Bruce Huff and the SWOOHA executive are setting up the SWOOHA lineup. The event is a celebration of oldtimer hockey, not just for the guys who play in the game. A reception will follow the game at 11 a.m. and a display area will be available for memorabilia and pictures. It's an opportunity to toast yesteryear and help raise a little money for charity.
